Slowly, her blue wings fluttered around as she made her away along the wind, focusing her mind one one thing, and on one thing only. Hopefully, she could get some relaxation time at the lake, but, she wasn't thinking quite the same as the next few minutes went by. What if there were people there? They might try and capture her, even though that is illegal anymore, well, almost, the person that caught her would think she'd bless them with luck or something. Well, think again, gosh, mortals were such idiots, if their heads weren't attached, they'd probably lose them. Oh well, that was their problem. Passing through the brush that was the boundary that signalled she was there, she looked down at the sparkling blue water. Flying up and down, as she moved ever closer to it, she plunged into it, holding her breath, she swam around, looking up at something that seemed abnormal. The sky shattered as she drove up into the air, and looked at the item. It must've been some kind of human thing, because, it had that little thing on the top that kept twirling, and was making a horrible noise. What was it called? A helicopter, or something like that? Abbie Tate pondered the thought as she turned around, to see the brush moving again. And, there wasn't any wind passing by. Flying over to the ground by the shore of the pool, she closed her eyes, and focused. Suddenly, the fairy fell over, and appeared next to her an astral body. She flew over to the brush, looking up over it, behind it, and then she opened it, and peered inside. Letting out an ear-splitting scream, she saw something she'd never seen again. The air around her shimmered, and she returned to her own body. The air around her hazed, as she put up the forcefield that almost every fairy contained. It was a common thing, and, it really did help. Especially in cases like this.
Her feet lifted off the ground, as her wings began to beat. It looked like a cat, but, it was much larger, or, maybe a dog or something. Oh well, she wasn't taking her chances. Maybe it would leave her alone, if she left it alone? Hearing a low noise - what seemed to be purring, or maybe even growling - she quickly flew backwards, making sure to keep above the water. Maybe it was a cat, she was probably just too small, though, it had seemed to have no hair, she knew it was. It was just a house cat, that had probably been let out, and was probably just hunting. Which, was exactly why she kept her forcefield up. Because, she wasn't in the mood to be chewed on, and then spat back up as a hairball. Okay, so, now what? She surely couldn't relax with that thing lurking around.
Noticing the brush move around again, she kept the forcefield up, because she was starting to get worried. One, she didn't want to be bottled, two, she didn't want to be eaten, and, three, she didn't want to be sold. Exactly why she is not going to get anywhere near a human unless she could trust them. "Hello?" she called out.

Aesis Lake. The Forbidden Lake.
Yep, that’s how I knew of it. I wasn’t allowed there. Even as a child, I knew that to go there meant that you could be eaten by a rabid dog or something! As I got older, those stories changed from being about diseased animals to those of rebellious ones. They were not afraid to go and kill you because to them, you were just another human. If you were important enough, they said that they would hold you ransom or something. Nothing good ever came from that Aesis Lake. That at least was how I remembered it from when I was a ‘human.’
Now I’m no such thing. I’m neither a human nor an animal. I can’t even classify myself with the outcasts known as the anthros! I was a shapeshifter and in my eyes, that was worse than being outcast because I knew that I didn’t belong. Other people might believe that I was perfectly normal, but I knew that I was living a lie. I would have to live my life in blocks of time – only staying at one place for a short period of time. If I thought that I was getting to close to another human or an animal, I was out of that part of the city like a Jesus Christ lizard running across the water.
Anyway, I was in one of my limbo stages. I had recently enough left my little flat in Kosiri to live my life on the wild side… well, that not meaning Emmer or anything… meaning literally, in the wild. I set myself up a humble abode in the valley a while ago and while I’m in limbo between my two lives, I like to live there to settle things down again.
I just so happened to be on a walk when I heard the loud noise from something in the sky. Immediately I freaked out. It seems like I always loose it in situations like that. Since I lost it, I also shifted into my clouded leopard form. My heart was pounding as I listened for the noise to eventually pass. A moment or two later, I hear a different noise. It was very quiet – probably because it was coming from something extraordinarily small. I really only could hear it because I was in my animal form.
Then I heard something in a strange language. It took me a while to realize that it was in English, not a strange language. The downside of being in my animal form was that human speech sounded… foreign. “Hello?” the little voice had called out.
I was curious… I was extremely curious. It was weird how curious I’ve been getting recently… First with Karmyn and now with this new girl. Before I revealed myself though, I knew I had to be in my human form to even speak. I took a couple deep breaths before I shifted back.
Cautiously, I peered out from the bushes and I didn’t see anyone immediately. Then I spotted something small hovering over the water. Interesting, I thought to myself. It must have been a fairy.
Slowly, I came out from my hiding place in the forest into the more open area near the lake. “Hi,” I replied timidly. I didn’t want to scare her away. Once again, I was being curious… and I’m still not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing.

She beat her wings, flying over to her new company. A human? she questioned herself. She was too smart to know that most humans weren't actually humans, but half-breeds, but until then, she should be cautious, and so she was. She backed up a bit, although it was illegal for humans to catch a fairy, they still would. Especially because they all thought that they brought a spell of good luck with them, yeah right. Especially with this one. She was small enough to do some damage, not to mention she could be in two places at once. The Air shimmered around her, and the blue haze disappeared. She inspected her carefully, checking the eyes, trying to look at her teeth, her fingernails, even her toenails. Things that could eventually let her transform into something that may hurt her. Yet, she hadn't found anything. No, she had seemed to be the cleanest human she'd ever seen, and, that was saying something for almost three centuries.
Slowly, she inched ever closer to this human being, staring at her with wide eyes. She didn't seem to be the type that was one to hurt her, in any way, but, the humans must've known the legends about fairies, that if you provoked them, their magic could be deadly, uh, well, Hello! This fairy was small enough to fly up your nasal canal, down your esophagus, and could easily stop one's heart from beating, after all, she could be in two places at once, no? So, why not astral project into one's heart? Exactly. Smart thinking. Although, she wouldn't, no, couldn't do it until somebody had tried to hurt her. And, as this human - this girl - hadn't even said anything worth taking into consideration, she flew up to her. "I'm Abbie." she spoke to her, though, this girl seemed much too large to understand her, and so she flew over to her ear. "I'm Abbie!" she yelled her loudest, flying back to her view. Besides, it was always the females that were usually the more kind ones, never to hurt one in her kind. After all, they probably realized more than men, that even if a Fairy did bring good luck, it wouldn't give it to them through force. So, women were usually an easier befriended gender.
Clearly, she had nothing better to do, and, so, she buzzed around, in front of the girl, just showing off. It was wonderful to be able to fly, and, it would be painful to lose her wings, whether by force, or, just by old age. She'd rather them not shrivel up though, it wasn't too appealing. However, her wings glittered today, just because of fairy dust, it did usually appeal to human eyes, just because it added a special little spark to little things. But, she wasn't exactly in the mood to be doing anything else, and, so, without the girl's permission, she quickly flew down to her shoulder, and perched on it, sitting down. She didn't think she would mind, and if she did, she would just move. It wasn't a big deal. "I'm tired." she muttered to herself, staring up at the woman in front of her. She didn't seem to be very old, twenty, maybe?

Yep. Definitely a fairy. An energetic one at that. I’m not going to lie; I was a bit surprised by her. I had only seen a fairy once before and like my first sighting of an anthro, it was just that: a sighting. I didn’t have any interaction with the creature nor did I really have the desire to do so. It really wasn’t until recently that I’ve been interacting more with people… well, not people, per say. More like, beings. I haven’t had a decent human interaction in forever! Not that fairies weren’t humans or anything… they just weren’t typical humans, you know what I mean?
Needless to say, I was fascinated with her. She was like a… a hummingbird or something! Her wings were a lovely shade of blue and looked like a butterfly but her sharp, quick movements reminded me of a hummingbird. I think the next thing I noticed was that she was actually very pretty. Her hair was cute and she had pretty brown eyes. If she were the size of an actual human, she could have almost any guy eating out of the palm of her hands. I decided that she must be popular with the male fairies. That thought in itself made me smile… it was just so fanciful seeing a fairy.
But as I was saying, I was taken by surprise by her. I mean, I didn’t expect her to be so outgoing! The fact that she was willing to just fly up to me like that and everything was not entirely normal – or at least not in my opinion. Then again, fairies were probably a hell of a lot more carefree than I was so I guess that could be her excuse. I mean, I couldn’t really be mad at her for being friendly, right?
So her name was Abbie. It seemed like a common enough name. It was cute though – very ‘fairy-esque’ in its own way. It seemed to fit her too – being all perky and peppy. Yes, I just used the word peppy. But she was a fairy; that could be a good word to describe her, right? Well, I think it’s a good word at least.
So in order not to be rude, I decided that I should introduce myself too. “Hi, Abbie. I’m Jaklynn,” I said in reply. It was simple enough. I mean, I wasn’t very afraid of a fairy. I knew they were very powerful with their magic and everything but for some reason I couldn’t convince myself that she was dangerous. Of course I wouldn’t do anything to provoke her. That would be just plain stupid, but at least I wasn’t, like, cowering over the fairy or anything. That would just be sad. Afterall, I have scarier things to worry about… like if Abbie was a spy or something. But I doubted that someone so sweet could be an evil spy.
Then she landed on my shoulder. I almost jerked from surprise, but I controlled myself. It wasn’t like she was going to hurt me. She was just tired. I didn’t quite blame her. I probably gave her a heart attack when she heard me in the bushes or whatever. I mean, I was definitely freaking out from the helicopter so she was probably worrying more than I was. And I’ll be the first to tell you that worrying really knocks the energy out of you after a while.

She stared at her new. . . friend. She reached into a small sack around her waist. She'd collected this stuff from her wings, it was extremely appealing, especially to human eyes, and so, she thought her friend, Jaklynn, might not mind it if she did this. Her hand full of little sparkling grits that literally shined different colors, she flew up into the air, and threw it up. Flying back down, she smiled, although, it would've been hard to tell. Fairy Dust was just valuable to people, for reasons she didn't know why. Why not decorate something with it? "Nice to meet you." she called out to her. However, her train of thought ventured off, and returned with a very interesting question. If she was a human, why was she here? Wasn't this lake like, supposed to be forbidden? She thought it interesting that this girl would travel here, but, she didn't mind. She floated down to the water, and laid down on the surface, looking around at the sparkling water. The air around her hazed, as she closed her eyes. In front of Jaklynn, appeared her Astral Body. "Why're you here? Are you a half-breed, or something?" she questioned the girl. Really, she didn't know. And, if that thing, that, helicoptor saw her, then, she might be in trouble. Well, she might've been a lot more comfortable if she'd already met this little fairy. All humans knew something about them, and, it was not to provoke them. Their magic was already deadly, and, especially while young, when it was still raw and untamed. In her family, all her relatives, every fairy was considered young and raw and untamed until their ability was mastered, which, very well meant you might've had some trouble with this one, because, no where was she near her expiration date.
Looking around, she looked at the lake. Why was it so quiet? Usually other things were here, like animals and other fairies and stuff, but, there weren't. "Be right back." she said, disappearing as the air shimmered. She rose off of the lake, flew over to Jaklynn, just above her shoulder, and astral projected. Her limp body falling with a nice 'Plump' onto the girl's shoulder. She flew around the gardens, in search of something. Anything. Hopefully another fairy, but, there was nothing. Not anything at all.
Where did everybody go?
Her eyes strained looking for everybody, anybody, something. But, she saw nothing. "Hmm." she reappeared in her own body, lifting up off of her shoulder. She stared at Jaklynn. "Where is everybody?" she questioned her. Not that she exactly thought she might know.
ooc ; sorry Fifi, Fuzzy, everybody, but, I'm about sixty words short on this post. I promise to have more on the next one :[
